Director of Asset Allocation and Portfolio Advisor

As director of asset allocation and portfolio advisor, Josh oversees the development of the firm’s asset allocation framework and ensures client portfolios are optimized for long-term success.
Josh has over two decades of investment management experience, spending the majority of his career with Morgan Creek Capital Management. He has delivered a wide range of investment solutions to a diverse client base, including endowments, foundations, and high-net-worth individuals and families. Josh brings domain expertise across all aspects of the investment process from strategic and tactical asset allocation to portfolio construction and investment-related due diligence. Josh’s other experience includes investing assets on behalf of UNC-Chapel Hill’s endowment and leading strategic financing initiatives for KNOW Bio, a local life sciences company. He began his career as an investment banking analyst with Lehman Brothers in New York.
Josh graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he earned a B.S. in business administration (with distinction). He currently serves on the boards of Canyon Creek Energy – Arkoma and the Allocator Training Institute, alongside 10-plus years of active roles at Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Triangle where he is a current investment committee member.
Josh lives in Chapel Hill with his wife and two daughters. In his free time, he is an avid fitness enthusiast and enjoys cheering on his beloved Tar Heels and spending time with family and friends on the North Carolina coast.
